6What is the GCWCC?
- The GCWCC is a national campaign managed by
United Way/Centraide Ottawa and Centraide
Outaouais, with support from United
Way/Centraide organizations across the country. - There is a GCWCC in operation in 85 Canadian
cities
7Historical Overview
- In February 1997, Treasury Board appointed
United Way as manager of the GCWCC. - 1998 marked the inaugural year

- One single federal campaign across Canada,
managed by United Way/Centraide. - Donors can direct their gift to
- United Way
- HEALTHPARTNERS
- Any other Canadian Registered Charity

Centraide and HEALTHPARTNERS, on a pro-rata basis.
