  • We spend our national day on the 6th of December

Christmas - In Finland Christmas eve (24th) is
more important than Christmas day. -Santa Claus
visits and gives some gifts if we have been
kind. We decorate a spruce tree with candles and
a star. Traditional Christmas foods are ham,
casseroles and meatballs.

  • New year
  • We usually start the new year with rockets,
    eating some sausages and potatos salad

Easter -Its national holiday in Finland. We eat
mämmi.
Vappu -Vappu is the workers party. An important
part of Vappu is balloons, champange and
undergraduatecap.
  • Midsummer
  • Its the nightless night. A lot of Finnish people
    go to their summer cottages. At 12 oclock at
    night we start burning a bonfire.
