Brief History
  • 1st of October 1960. the Faculty of Engineering
formally started working and the Department of
Electronic was part of it (129 regular and 134
    part-time students)
  • 15th of June 1965. the University of Ni was
    founded
  • 23rd of November 1968. by decision of the
Parlament of the Peoples Republic of Serbia the
Faculty of Electronic Engineering Ni started its
independent existence (269 regular and 27
    part-time students)
  • 1971 Electronic Computer Center, based on IBM
    1130 computer, began to work
  • 24th June 1982 the Faculty of Electronic
Engineering was moved into a new, modern building
    (over 25000sqm, with 4 lecture halls, 40
    classrooms, 20 laboratories, library, restaurant,
sport and recreation facilities, etc.), where the
    Faculty is still situated.
