Modular In-line Planetary Transmission
Its Modular A modular design will allow for a
standardized manufacturing process that will
produce a wide variety of gear ratios with the
least number of individual units. Clutch
less All transmissions have clutches. The
3M900-S employs an off-the-shelf synchronizer
gear along with many other off-the-shelf
components to shift from low to high in each
module eliminating the large mechanical losses
of a friction clutch pack. Reversible A
transmission that can fully function in reverse
does not require a reverse mechanism which
reduces weight and increases efficiency.
More Efficient By eliminating the friction
clutches from the planetary design, losses can
be reduced by up to 30. And with the use of
computer controlled sequential shifting the
transmission will make the most of the power
available to it. Custom applications The
transmission package can be specialized to your
customers specific needs without the great cost
of a one-off design. Easy to repair Since the
M-series transmission is modular it disassembles
quickly. The M-Series also features a stacked
assembly which cuts back on build time.
