Status at Chalmers
  • Lab now in use in Intro to Mech Eng course
  • Student and faculty education on-going
  • Brochure being produced
  • Design-build-test experiences
  • Intro to Mech Eng the students are have
    completed their basic designs and are now
    planning how to build it
  • Product Development will this year feature a
    distributed project with Luleå Technical
    University and with Volvo Monitoring and Concept
    Centre in Irvine, California, USA as client
  • IDE studio used
  • Formula Student
  • Successful participation in July competition
  • New project started
  • Teamwork IRM will be used in a number of DBTs

Y4 DBT courses
  • From year 2003/2004 it will be compulsory for
    students in the fourth year of the program to
    attend a CDIO DBT course
  • The courses are related to the specializations
    during year four
  • Course requirements
  • Minimum 5 credits (5 weeks full-time study)
  • Project groups of at least 4 members
  • Project work using LIPS
  • CDIO syllabus
  • Industrially relevant projects

Y3 Electronics project course
  • Electronics project course has been run one time
  • Muxen Lab is in full operation
  • 21 projects, with 6 students in each project
    group, were executed during spring 2003
  • The course is now further developed with new
    projects and updated routines.

  • The waterbike project wasfinalised in may 2003
  • 3rd generation advanced design-build course has
    started
  • Extended in terms of
  • Number of projects (1 has evolved to 3)

    Engineering (MMT) at KTH four new/reformed CDIO
    programs have started
