Deciduous Forest

• Only Deciduous Forest, in Canada, is found in
  southwestern Ontario.

• There are only a small amount of trees left.

• Summer in SW Ontario are hot and long.
• Winter is mild. (doesnt get really cold)
• During both seasons there is a high annual range
  of precipitation.

• Consists of maple, beech, hickory, ash and black
  walnut.

• Trees need warmth for energy.

• Soil contains more humus and is less acidic then
  most forests.
