PARENTAL PLEDGE

  • Encourage all players, coaches and umpires at
    games practicesfrom both our team, as well as
    the opposing team
  • Remember the game is for the childrennot the
    adults
  • Leave the on-field instruction and constructive
    criticism in the hands of the coachesand
    judgment calls in the hands of the umpire
  • Direct any concerns you have directly to the head
    coach firstboth privately and respectfully (and
    not during a game)
  • Help make Baseball FUN for all involvedespecially
    the kids!
  • Ensure your child is on-time for all practices
    gameswe cant teach kids life lessons if they
    arent there.
  • Practice at home with your childrepetition is
    the mother of all learning
  • Promote the importance of good sportsmanship
    support coaches disciplinary action in the event
    of any poor sportsmanship
  • (Note Any player on our team seen throwing a
    bat, helmet, etc., or heard making insulting
    remarks to other players or umpires will be
    pulled from the game immediately and will sit the
    bench for the remainder of that game the next
    game)

  • He stands at the plate with heart pounding fast.
  • The bases are loaded the die has been cast.
  • Mom Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone.
  • A hit at this moment would send the team home.
  • The ball meets the plate he swings and he
    misses.
  • Theres a groan from the crowd, with some boos
    and some hisses.
  • A thoughtless voice cries, Strike out the bum.
  • Tears fill his eyes the games no longer fun.
  • So open your heart and give him a break.
  • For its moments like this, a man can you make.
  • Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget.
  • Hes just a little boy and not a man yet.
