meeting identified community health needs. It
implies collaboration with a community to
benefit its residents and defined accountability
within the health care organization.

- Information/Perspective integrated into to
strategic planning and budgeting processes. - Increases awareness of SJHCs leadership and
collaborative role in building a healthy
community now a committee of the board. - Required by Catholic Health Initiatives and IRS.
- Adopted a governance charter, guidelines and
policy to direct SJHC system of approach to
community benefit.
