Assignment
  • You will be assigned to a day, time, and room to
    give your presentation.
  • Your presentation will be 10-12 minutes in length
    and must include technology.
  • You will be expected to answer questions after
    your presentation.

Preparation Time and Assistance
  • During the next Advisory periods, seniors will be
    focusing entirely on the Oral Presentation. You
    will be expected to write your speech, edit with
    a peer, and practice with partners.
  • USE THIS TIME EFFECTIVELYYOU WILL NOT HAVE CLASS
    TIME TO WORK ON THIS PRESENTATION!

Reminder
  • Your portfolio must be up to date in order to be
    scheduled into a presentation time. If you are
    still behind in your requirements, it is
    essential that you make arrangements to complete
    these.
  • THE CULMINATING PROJECT IS A STATE AND DISTRICT
    GRADUATION REQUIREMENT.

Additional Assistance
  • During the March 10-13 WASL testing time, there
    will be seminars for seniors only from 735-935.

What if
  • I dont pass the first time?
  • After you have had an opportunity to improve your
    speech, you will be given another opportunity to
    present.

What if
  • I want to change the day or time of my
    presentation? I want to choose my judges?
  • Re-scheduling will only be allowed for
    extenuating circumstances. You will not be able
    to choose your judges.

What will senior presentation day look like?
  • Seniors will arrive on campus and report to your
    assigned room 15 minutes prior to your schedule
    time. There will be a desk for you to be seated
    and review your speech. You will be given a few
    minutes to set up your technology before
    beginning your speech.

After the speech
  • You will wait outside for your results. You will
    be given a copy of the final scorecard.
  • You will report back to the cafeteria until the
    beginning of class.
  • You may choose to attend a seminar, study in the
    cafeteria. You will not be allowed to leave
    campus once you have arrived.
