7Volunteer and Guest Services
C The Medical Center Volunteer Services office is
staffed by employees or volunteers Monday
through Friday, 800 A.M. 500 P.M. C The
Volunteer Services office is closed on all
official holidays. C Volunteers providing
service after normal business hours are given
access to Volunteer Services area via card
access. C Each volunteer must display an I.D.
badge. C You may request a volunteer to assist
in your area by calling Katy Kuder, Manager,
at 792-0858, or Elaine Rudd at 792-3344.
8Security
The Medical Center Security Department is a
proactive force. Security Officers patrol and
respond to emergencies related to the Medical
Center. Security Officers are conveniently
located at main entrances. C Instruct employees
to call 792-4196 for security needs C Managers
may contact Paul Moss, Manager, at 792-4831
during normal business hours. After hours,
contact Security Coordinator on-duty by paging
Simon ID 18152. C Secure valuables C Lock
office door(s) C Know staff in your work
area C Employees must wear ID badges on outer
garments at all times while on MUSC/MUHA campus

- C Visitors and vendors must wear passes on outer
garments while - visiting MUSC/MUHA
- C Direct employees, visitors and vendors to 1st
floor North Tower - Security desk for ID badges and passes
- ? Workplace Violence is not
tolerated in the Medical Center - C Behaviors that indicate possibilities of
pending violence are - C Increased use of alcohol or illegal drugs
