Title: STATIONS OF THE CROSS

1
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
  • By Grade 6
  • March 2009

2
The First StationRyan Signorino
3
Jesus is Condemned to Death.
  • Jesus always thought he was alone.
  • He was condemned to death by Pontius Pilate.
  • He was going to die on the cross in front of
    lots of people.
  • Jesus was sad.
  • He gave his apostles the last supper, and gave
them bread, his body, and wine, his blood, for
    them to eat.

4
How Does This Apply to Me?
  • Ive been angry at someone before, and I would
want to be more calm like Jesus. If people
screamed and yelled at me, I would be
embarrassed. If people lied about me then I would
be sad and mad at that person
  • Ive heard the Stations of the Cross a lot, and I
would want to be as calm as Jesus, knowing he
would die, he knew God would help him through
this, and I hope that God helps me when I am
    angry or sad at people.

5
Prayer for the First Station
  • Dear God, help me when I know that I will die,
and know that I may never see some of my friends
ever again. Help me find the way to heaven to
live with you forever and ever. Help me stay away
from Saten and not listen to him when he speaks.
    Help me Lord. Amen.

6
The Second Station of the Cross
  • Jesus accepts his Cross

7
What Is Happening In This Station?
  • Jesus, as you accepted your cross, you knew you
would carry it to your death on Calvary. You knew
it wouldn't be easy, but you accepted it and
    carried it just the same.

8
What Does That Have To Do With Me?
  • I think this station might show me and others how
to accept things we must . Just like Jesus had to
do when he accepted his cross.
  • Jesus knew what he had to do and he accepted that
, he knew what he was doing and why he was doing
it . He did this for his people.

9
My prayer
  • Jesus I honor you above all things for your
    pride, courage, and honesty.

Jesus falls the first time.Station 3
  • By Sara Purchase

11
Jesus Falls the first time.
  • He fell because he was tired and he was carrying
    a cross.
  • The cross was made out of wood and very heavy.
  • He had no food in his body and very week.
  • He would have not been able to carry the cross
    on the way to Calvary.

12
How it effects today.
  • When Jesus fell he was, tired. He got back up,
though. This teaches us today that even we fall
and we can can get back up and try again.

13
My Prayer
  • Jesus,
  • You carried a heavy cross and fell. That means
that we all fall or hit a bump in the road.
Please let me be able to accomplish my tasks no
    matter what the conditions are.
  • Amen

15
Jesus Meets His Mother
  • Jesus is carrying the cross.
  • He meets his mother.
  • His mother kisses his forehead.
  • Jesus continues his journey.

16
Jesus Meets his mother
  • I think Jesus meeting his mother impacts me
because he hadnt seen his mother in quite some
time and I would miss my mother dearly if I
    hadnt seen her at all.
  • Mother dear treat me well,Pray all day that I
dwell. Take my hands when Im a fright.Save my
world ,take me to the light.Mother dear I pray
for you, gosh I hope you Pray for me too.

  • The print of Jesus face is in the cloth.

22
Jesus meets Veronica
  • Jesus meeting Veronica reflects on my life
because its like meeting your best friend that
you havent seen in a while, and you miss them
very much.If I was ever in the same situation as
him I would be very happy to have a friend like
    that.

23
The prayer of Veronica
The prayer of
  • O God, please let the world be filled with
friends and happiness and not sorrow and pain. O
God please let everyone be nice to each other and
treat them nicely. O God please let everyone
treat others the way they want to be treated like
    Veronica did with Jesus. Amen.

24

25
Description
  • You could hear the children crying as Jesus fell
to the ground the second time. Jesuss face was
red and you could look at him and feel his pain.

26
How it effects today
  • Back when Jesus fell the second time he was
hurt and his followers were too. Now the only
thing that is falling is the economy. So we are
    hurt

Jesus suffered on the cross.
  • Jesus was nailed to the cross to suffer.
We laughed at him while he was in pain. His hands
and feet were nailed on the cross. His blood
stained the it. Because he died and suffered on
the cross he took away our sins. We are still
today sinful people but since Jesus suffered on
the cross we are now forgiven every time we sin.

42
What this means to us today
  • Today, when we are in pain we can think of Jesus
on the cross. How he suffered is worse than any
pain we could ever be in.
  • We can also think about when we sin. We are
forgiven when we sin. Because Jesus suffered and
died on the cross we now are forgiven.

43
My Prayer
  • Jesus, You suffered on the cross to take
away our sins. God sent you, his son to us so
that we may learn of him. But instead we
crucified you our savior.Lord help us when we are
suffering that we might know that you suffered
too. But not only that you were suffering but
that you suffered for us. Today we pray to God
that he might take away our sins. Lord take away
    my sins.

  • Amen

  • Now Jesus lifeless body is taken down from the
cross. Now pain and suffering is over for Jesus
all the pain is over. Mary, Jesus mother, holds
him tenderly in her arms. shes very sad
  • And how sad Jesus friends are. They are crying
    as they hold his body.

50
Prayer For Station 13
  • Lord, Do not abandon us when we are tempted to
lose heart. Help us not to leave you alone. Give
us the fidelity to withstand moments of confusion
and a love ready to embrace you in your utter
helplessness, like your Mother, who once more
holds you to her. Help us, the poor and rich,
simple and learned, to look beyond all our fears
and prejudices, and to offer you our abilities,
our hearts and our time, and thus to prepare a
    garden for the Resurrection.

51
  • How does this apply to me and my life
  • When you are in trouble you would want people to
help you, like people helped Jesus.

52
Fourteenth Station

Facts

Jesus into the tomb. They just left him there for

    chance to go to heaven.

Prayer

giving us the chance to go to heaven. O God,
please let everyone go to heaven sinners or
