  • she saved Upper Canada from the Americans in the

  • she died at the age of 93 in the year 1868

    British Force at Beaver Dams
  • she decided to warn Lt.FitzGibbon
  • she started the journey to Beaver Dams on June
    22,1813

    so he chose Laura Secords name for his shop.
    Now,for all these years she is known as a
    chocolate shop and a heroine! All across Canada
    Laura Secords name has been known as a chocolate
    shop. Thats how Lauras name has been alive for
    so long now.

Why I Chose This Topic
  • The reason why I chose this topic for my
    Heritage Project is because the treacherous walk
    she did from Queenston to Beaver Dams inspired me
    to learn more about her. I also thought what she
    did for Upper Canada was really heroic!
