What is a Family Readiness Group?

• An organization of family members, volunteers,
  and soldiers/civilian employees belonging to a
  unit/organization that together provide an avenue
  of mutual support and assistance and a network
  of communication among the family members, the
  chain of command, and community resources.

GROUP

• maintain a system of mutual support

FRG Goals

• To become an essential part of a military
  units
• support system
• To reduce isolation among family members
• To assist members gathering important
  information
• and resources more efficiently and
  effectively
• To facilitate and establish a real sense of
  community
• among soldiers, family members and friends

• Mentally and emotionally present and able to
  concentrate on the mission
• Sustained manpower to accomplish the mission less
  likelihood of casualties
• RDCs able to concentrate on activities to
