    later to become NCAPA in 1978
  • 1st statewide planning conference held in 1958
    initiated by the UNC Institute of Government

at J.C. Smith University with 75
attendees.

  • Formation of the NC Diversity Committee
  • Following the 2005 APA Diversity Summit II, NCAPB
    request NCAPA hold a session to discuss diversity
    in the profession during the statewide planning
    conference.
  • October 5, 2005 NCAPA hosts 1st Diversity in
    Planning Summit (20 attendees).
  • December 2, 2005 NCAPA Executive Committee votes
    official create the Ethnic and Cultural Diversity
    Committee (ECDC) as the 8th working committee
    within the Chapter.
