Clue 5
  • The students were very worried by the first
decision, which was to interview all those who
worked in places where meals were prepared and
sold to the public. Surely poor piggy couldnt
have landed up in a piggy pie!
  • The first stop was the place with a sign which
showed an aquatic animal but no one knew where
    piggy was.

Clue 8
  • Surely piggy hadnt been eaten. Then a thought
occurred - only the day before Comenius had been
injected to protect from infection. If she had
been consumed then anyone eating her now would be
    in serious trouble!
  • It was decided to visit the local place that
cared for sick people to see if anyone had
    reported in ill.
  • This was a very important building and had been
    opened by the Queens daughter.

Clue 9
  • The students reported to reception and were told
that a group of people had reported in that
morning suffering from food poisoning. They had,
however, over eaten food that came from the place
that made bread and cakes in the village near the
    school.

Clue 13
  • So it was off to interview yet another
shopkeeper. The students were told the meat from
the pies had been purchased from a farm in
Crawley, and that meat from the same animal had
been purchased by the staff of the local centre
where people went to get healthy which had a name
similar to the place in Clue 5.

Clue 14
  • The students passed through the people playing
sports and made their ways to the catering
office. The meat had been roasted and served to a
group of people who usually worked putting out
fires. The students made their ways to their
    headquarters.

44
Clue 15
  • The visit proved most interesting. All of the
workers were well but one officer reported seeing
what he believed to be a small brown and pink pig
sitting in the back of a large red estate car.
The officer remember that the car number plate
ended with the letters MXM. This was useful
    information!
  • One of the students remembered seeing a similar
car parked outside of the place where you can
stay with a name that resembles a tree.

Clue 16
  • Unfortunately by the time they arrived the car
was gone. There was nothing else for it, they
would have to pray for little piggys safe
return. They headed for the place in the village
    where people prayed every Sunday.

50
Clue 17
  • As they left the building they heard a squeal
and then a grunt. They turned in surprise just as
a red estate car parked in the high street
started off down the road. It stopped outside of
a drinking house with a sign depicting a brightly
coloured African animal. Here a man and woman got
    out.

Clue 18
  • They crossed the road to the chemist and then
reappeared carrying a bottle of brightly
coloured liquid and a parcel containing some
unusual shaped tools. They climbed back into the
car and headed up the street towards a house of
    great age.

Whats going on?!
  • The students followed separately to find out
piggys fate. They vaguely recognised the people
who might even be parents of their friends. The
car turned down a long drive. The students could
not see what was going on but they could hear the
awful sound of Comenius uncontrollable grunting
    and squealing.
  • A hosepipe was taken around the back and into
the garden, then a bundle of cloths. A group of
young people arrived in a Land Rover with a
trailer and hurried around to the scene of the
crime - what, oh what was going to happen to
    piggy?!

57
Solution
  • The students searched high and low for piggy and
finally found him outside having a bath! Piggy
was simply being cleaned up for the Ardingly show
the following week. Thank goodness piggy was
alright nothing na-sty had happened after all!
  • The End
