Title: Planned Works River Earn
1Planned Works River Earn
2Bridge Pool This picture is looking upriver and
is a good pool, perhaps some willows/trees on
the L/H side to provide some cover and a groyne
at the top of the pool to increase to water flow.
3Boggy Bankside The R/H bank side just above the
Bridge pool is very boggy and could do with a
drainage channel being dug and drainage pipe
being inserted.
4Bank VegetationJust up from the boggy bank on
L/H side the rhododendron bush needs trimmed back
and dead branch removed from the river.
5Bank SideMore boggy bank side, R/H side just
above rhododendron bush, again needs drainage.
Also dead tree needs o be removed.
6Upstream from metal box to waterfall Trees may
need trimmed, trees lying in river need removed
plus trees lying on the bank side need cut and
removed or sections cut out to allow members to
walk along the bank side. May also need some
in-stream work.

11Continued.Tree removal finishes at top of
waterfall
12Beyond large cliff faceThe R/H bank beyond the
cliff face could do with some willows/trees to
provide cover.
13Beyond small cliff face poolBank side beyond
here could do with strimming and some
willows/trees for cover and some in-stream work
14Pool beyond fence over the river up to little
weirCould do with some willows planted at this
pool and also above it (possibly both sides). The
grass needs trimmed back and an island dug away.
15Little weir up to fordL/H bank side needs some
willows/trees for cover and also to slow down the
obvious bank erosion. The R/H side bank needs
strimmed.
16Path from bridge to little weir. The path needs,
at various point along its length, to have
drainage inserted and the vegetation cut back. No

SUMMARY This work will take a number of weeks to
complete and some of the work will be quite heavy
as there are some big trees needing to be dealt
with. A petrol driven chainsaw would be a boon.
