• Graphics should focus on essential information
• Help explain complex relationships (graph)
• Act as menu or guide.
• Use thumbnail size for quicker downloads
• Graphics can act as a prompt.

• Computer screen is 640 x 480 pixels
• Resolution is 72 dpi (dots per inch)
• Millions of colours looks good on screen
• Corrections to be done in Photo editor

• Graphic formats for the web are GIF, JPEG and
  PNG.
• What formats????? It depends!
• Size versus quality.
• Adjust graphic size and resolution before loading
  to web
• Reduce the loading time by reducing file size

• GIF limited to 256 colours
• JPEG doesnt work well with single colour
• PNG is a replacement for GIF because better
  colour
• Animated GIF work well on web pages
