  • Minister O Cuiv 11 April 2006 announced increase
    in areas covered - fund increased by 9m to total
    fund of 22.95m for 2006
  • Areas eligible for funding based on average drop
    of 35 per county between 1926-2002
  • Towns of 3,000 and over and their peri-urban
    areas are excluded
  • Proposed no. Electoral Divisions increased from
    729 to 1,614
  • Scheme covers village, housing school
    enhancement, electricity conversion, roads, water
    supply, seweareg disposal, health, coastal,
    sports and community projects
