• What do colleagues hope to get from todays
  meeting?

• Students need stories in English mode, I want
  students to read books, value books (as
  entertainment producing all manner of insights
  registers of language, ways of thinking a range
  of value systems) which use of Media and Film
  can enhance powerfully.
• Holistic view of these three areas.

• Making students think, think clearly and
  logically (but still valuing emotional and
  intuitive intelligence), thinking for themselves
  in any way(s) they can, opening up new horizons
  of thought and levels of awareness, including
  metacognition.
• Polysemy systematic doubt fiction of the self
  truth
• English/Media/Film all capable of developing
  thinking skills (besides creative expression and
  technical ability (from technical terms how to
  put together words on paper and orally
  production work in Media and Film)

• Being involved in teaching many more and most
  able students from a good catchment area has
  led to thinking about education, learning and
  schooling for myself

  from schooling but possibly, hopefully, going
