    Organisations called Participating Standards
    Organisations (PSOs).

  • GSC-10
  • Background
  • GSC is a framework for exchanging information,
establishing objectives to accelerate the process
of global Tcomm Rcomm standards development,
    promoting global interconnectivity
    interoperability .
  • GSC incorporates separate GTSC (Global Tcomms
    Standardization Collaboration) GRSC (Global
    Rcomms Standardization Collaboration) meetings.
  • Joint GTSC/GRSC meetings (plenary) conducted
prior to after GTSC and GRSC meetings.

4
  • GSC-10
  • Background
  • PSOs prepare presentations on their activities
    associated with particular HISs.
  • GSC discussions determine the importance and the
    status of HISs.
  • Activities of significance become formal GSC
    Resolution(s).
  • GSC Resolutions are carried over to the next GSC
meeting cover agreed objectives approaches of
the PSOs to progress standards development
    activities for that subject.

5
  • GSC-10
  • Included
  • Intellectual Property Rights WG meeting.
  • User Working WG meeting.
  • First time Full day User Workshop.
  • Plenary sessions prior to GTSC GRSC meetings
used to address overarching topics and for
    reaching conclusions/ approving Resolutions.
  • 104 attendees, hosted by ETSI.
  • Many excellent presentations. All documents are
    available on website http//www.gsc.etsi.org/

  • GSC-10
  • Focus
  • Other HISs include
  • Radio Microphones.
  • Software Defined radio Cognitive Radio.
  • Wireless Priority Service for CDMA Systems raised

world-wide standardization wise on high priority
    Tcomm Rcomm issues
  • many of direct relevance to APT Work programs
  • offers opportunity to talk with world and
    regional Standards Bodies representatives and
experts in one place at one time
  • enables cohesive standardization approach.

20
  • GSC-10
  • APT Secretariat Recommendations Action
  • APT Members have the opportunity to
  • be informed of developments on HISs through the
APT Secretariat, or accessing GSC website
  • ASTAP EGs can enhance work on like topics - much
ASTAP EG work relates to HISs.
  • APT Secretariat will assist APT Members ASTAP
