How to earn the IB Diploma
  • Point System
  • Papers Exams
  • Graded 1-7

  • Paper 1 (20) is a DBQ drawn from 20th century
    topics (it is generally a political cartoon or
    historical document) .
  • Paper 2 (25) is based on 20th century topics. 
    Students choose 2 from 30 essay topics.
  •  
  • Paper 3 (35) is based on one of the regional
    topics.  Students answer 3 of 25 essays.

Honor Code
  • It is the expectation of Melbourne High Pre-IB
    program that all work presented is the students
    own work. No plagiarism, collusion, or
    misrepresentation of work is permitted. It is,
    therefore, the policy of our school that any
    student guilty of presenting anothers work as
    his or her own, plagiarism, cheating in any
    manner on class work or tests will be brought to
    the IB Coordinator with the evidence.
    Infractions of the honor policy will adversely
    affect a students grade by awarding zero
    credit. In addition, the first offense will
    result in a warning and a phone call to parents
    the second offense may result in dismissal from
    Pre-IB and will be reported on college
    applications.
