• Once firmly in power, Hitler began enforcing the
  inferior races.
  
• Media became filled with pro-Nazi material.

r individuals through involuntary sterilization
programs.
1937-1939 Economic hardship for Jews increases.

• Half of the Jewish population fled.
• Remaining Jews were unwilling to leave or unable
  to obtain visas.
  
• Countries criticized, but offered no help.

• September 1, 1939 Germany invades Poland.
• Poles imprisoned in concentration camps.
• Hitler orders to kill institutionalized
  handicapped individuals.

• By 1940 Germany has crushed most of Europe.
• Ghettos, transit camps, and forced labor camps
  began imprisoning victims.
