he attempts to put him under arrest. Eisenheim
however, has different plans. In order to live a
peaceful life with his sweetheart, they stage her
death. Her death is used to frame the Crown
Prince in hope that he will lose his right to the
throne. Eventually, the Crown Prince becomes
overwhelmed by the publics hatred and suspicion,
and commits suicide. Eisenheim, now a free man,
flees to the border where his beloved awaits his
return. The actors portrayed their parts
well, from mysterious Eisenheim, to angry Crown
Prince in this fast-paced movie. The
Illusionist will keep you on the edge of your
seat, and keep you guessing to the very end.

Movie Review The Illusionist A darkly
compelling and thrilling movie, The Illusionist
is one of the best movies ever. If you like
movies with magic, mystery, and action, The
Illusionist is for you. Set in the year of 1900
in Vienna, its the perfect place for a dark,
tragic love story. Master illusionist Eisenheim
(Edward Norton) is forced to relive his past when
his childhood sweetheart (Jessica Biel) comes to
watch one of his performances. In hope of getting
together, Eisenheim makes a powerful enemy in his
sweethearts husband the Crown Prince (Rufus
Sewell). Once the Crown Prince becomes aware of
Eisenheim intentions,

Book Review Twilight By Stephanie Meyer Twilight
is an interesting story about teen relationships.
In the background the subjects of divorce and
fitting in also hover. The main characters,
Edward and Bella, find themselves inexplicably
drawn to each other. Edward feels that he needs
to protect Bella from her clumsiness and his dark
secret. Bella is drawn to Edwards beauty and
mystery. As the story progresses, Bella
eventually learns Edwards secret and that of his
family. In spite of Edwards secret she wishes
to become a part of his life. This decision puts
her life and the lives of those she loves in
danger. I enjoyed the book. It is well
written and many teens will enjoy the storyline.
I look forward to the next volume, New
Moon. Mrs. Smith

New Cafeteria Food Early next year in schools
all across Canada, all unhealthy foods will be
taken out of school cafeterias. Foods such as
chips, slushies and pizza will be taken out and
replaced by things like fruits, veggies and whole
wheat buns. In my opinion, I agree with taking
out some of the unhealthy foods, but I wish that
could still have pizza. Here are some ideas
for the new cafeteria rules. Instead of taking
junk food out completely, we could have one day a
week that could be junk food day (I recommend
Friday). That way, we could still have some junk
food, but just not every day. I think this will
help keep students healthy. My second idea is to
limit how much junk food any one student can buy
(maybe about three items a day). This could help
too.

The New School Interview with Ms.
MacLeod Reporter Why did we change
buildings? Ms. MacLeod The Department of
Education decided to build a new high school. So,
the School board decided to let us use this space
and the elementary school will be using our old
one. R Do you like this location better?
Why? M Yes, because there is more space for
student to spread out, there are more meeting
rooms for teachers and parents and there is
better technology. R Do you think it is too far
for the students to travel from school to
home? M I think it will probably be worse for
the Hubbards and Dover students.
R Have you had any complaints about the new
location since youve been here? M I would have
to say none at all. R What do you think is the
best feature about this school that we never had
in the old one M The learning center and
resource center for the special needs, and the
teen health center- which will start up in
November. R Do you think the students like the
new school and location? M Yes I think they do.
But most of them think it is a long walk from
upstairs to the cafeteria. R Whose decision was
it to change the location? M The School Board
and the Department of Education.
