  • Often used by students in their personal lives
  • Provides a great opportunity for teachers to
    integrate technology into the classroom
  • Numerous free online photo sharing sites

  • Controversial issue
  • Consult the schools internet safety
    guidelines/policy
  • Teacher must receive permission from students
    legal guardian before engaging in online photo
    sharing
  • Find a site that requires a classroom or student
    password (not open to the general public)
  • Do not include captions that reveal the names of
    students
  • Educate students on proper/safe online photo
    sharing

  • Teachers should educate parents on the purpose of
    keeping bookmarks and on safe web browsing
  • Having bookmarks open to the public makes it
    easier for the whole class to see them, but
    students should be aware of this
