and conducting of a final tournament of European
Football Championship 2012 in Ukraine

• National Special-Purpose Program on preparing and
  conducting of a final tournament of European
  Football Championship 2012 in Ukraine was
  approved by the Decree 107 of the Cabinet of
  Ministers on the 22-th of February 2008
• The program contains 21 tasks, based on the UEFA
  requirements and corresponding government
  guarantees.
• General budget of the Program is estimated around
  16,85 billion EUR (126,4UAH), of which 2,85
  billion EUR (21,4 billion UAH) from the State
  Budget of Ukraine (16,9 of general budget) 1,65
  billion EUR (12,4 billion UAH) funds from local
  budgets (9,8) 12,35 billion EUR (92,6 billion
  UAH, 73,3) from other sources (investors,
  private funds etc).
• The Program is the main mechanism of preparing
  and staging the final tournament of the European
  Football Championship 2012 in Ukraine. Programs
  tasks, indicators and actions make up the basis
  for the detailed programs of the Host Cities,
  Crimea Autonomous Republic, state regional
  administrations, ministries and other bodies as
  well as for the plans of preparing the main
  objects (stadia, airports, health care
  establishments etc), in accordance with the UEFA
  requirements.

• Expected results of implementation of the
  program
• Staging the tournament according to all the
  requirements presented by UEFA and thus bringing
  benefit to the image of Ukraine
• Delivering 6 stadia meeting all FIFA and UEFA
  requirements enabling staging competitions of all
  the standards and increasing number of local an
  foreign tourists and fans
• Building, refurbishing of reconstructing more
  than 30 modern stadiums and training centers and
  thus develop infrastructure for local football
  competitions and training of Ukrainian teams
• Considerably develop and enhance transport
  infrastructure (airports, motor roads of general
  use, railway transport)
• Creating conditions for intensive development of
  local business in all the domains of economy and
  spheres of social organization
• Attracting more than 90 billion UAH as
  investments
• Creation of employment (2-3 million addition
  vacancies)
• Increasing amount of additional incomes for
  budgets of all the levels.
