History
  • Fruit of a plant originating from Mexico and
    Central America. Originally the tomato was a
    round small fruit similar to the cherry tomato
    which is well known today.
  • Indians grew it and made it known it with the
    first Spanish settlers.
  • It has been regarded as poisonous for a long
    time and until the 18th century, it was
    essentially used as decorative plants. We used
    to believe that it made people sick since it is
    known that its leaves, his its stems and its

Description of Tomato
  • The tomato grows on a bushy sometimes crawling

Tomato characteristics
  • The size of tomatoes varies according to
    species' thus the tiny cherry tomato measures
    from 2,5 to 3 cm .
  • The oblong tomato resembles a small pear it
    measures from 5 to 10 cm length and 3 to 5 cm
    it is seedless and is less juicy than other
    tomato species.
