Early Years
  • He was born in Stratford, England on April 23,
    1564
  • His parents were John and Mary Shakespeare. He
    had eight siblings and was the third oldest
    child.
  • He married Anne Hathaway when he was 18 she was
    26. The were married in 1582.
  • His first daughter, Susannah Shakespeare, was
    born six months after they were married.
  • In 1565 there second and third child were born.
    TWINS! Hamnet and Judith were their names.

Midlife Years
  • Shakespeare surfaced in London in 1582, his name
    was in the newspaper.
  • His wife and children remained in Stratford.
  • In London he worked as a writer, businessman, and
    actor.
  • Hamnet dies in 1596, we dont know for sure but
    we think he died from the plague.
  • The Globe constructed in 1599.

Last Years
  • He retired in Stratford in 1611. He was wealthy.
  • The Globe theater burnt down in 1613.
  • He died in April 23, 1616, On his birthday.
  • He died by getting drunk then walking back to
    his house in the cold and catching ammonia.
  • He left his money and property to his oldest
    daughter and her family, and to his wife is
    second best bed.
  • He buried in floor of Holy Trinity Church,
    Stratford.
