Title: Many small things
1Many small things
2Many small things My version!
There are many small things That irritate me
The sound of my alarm clock first thing in the
morning, interrupting my dreams. The revolting
rain Crashing down in summer, when it should be
blisteringly hot. Greengrocers who put
apostrophes in the wrong places, People who pick
their nose, Louts that litter the luscious
countryside, And advert breaks in television
programmes. Never winning the lottery, Not even
a tenner. Snapping my pencil And not being able
to find a sharpener. Buying a pair of shoes for
full price, then seeing them in the sale the next
day. Yes, there are many small things That
irritate me.
3What I did
- The first thing I did was choose an emotion to
write about. - I could have chosen
- Peaceful things
- Things that make me angry
- Funny things
- Sad things
- Special things
4But
- I chose things that irritate me because I was in
a grumpy mood and had lots of ideas!
5Next
- After I had chosen my emotion, I made a list of
things that really irritate me. - There were lots of them!
6After that
- I looked at Pie Corbetts poem and created a
formula which I followed carefully. - Also I noticed that Pie sometimes used
alliteration in his poem so I made sure that I
did too!
7Finally
- I edited my poem to make it sound better and
decorated it to make it look pretty! - See, it really is that easy!
- Now it is YOUR turn!
