Our Final Exam!

• 1 Cor. 310-15 By the grace God has given me, I
  laid a foundation as an expert builder, and
  someone else is building on it. But each one
  should be careful how he builds. 11For no one can
  lay any foundation other than the one already
  laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If any man builds
  on this foundation using gold, silver, costly
  stones, wood, hay or straw, 13his work will be
  shown for what it is, because the Day will bring
  it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and
  the fire will test the quality of each man's
  work. 14If what he has built survives, he will
  receive his reward. 15If it is burned up, he will
  suffer loss he himself will be saved, but only
  as one escaping through the flames.

• 1. Based upon SERVICE not our sins.
• 2 Cor. 521 God made him (Jesus) who had no sin
  to be sin for us, so that in him we might become
  the righteousness of God.

• 2. Must be INDIVIDUALLY completed.
• 2 Cor. 510 For we must all appear before the
  judgment seat of Christ, that each one may
  receive what is due him for the things done while
  in the body, whether good or bad.

Who will be the key players at this Bema Seat
Judgment?

• Jesus John 522 Moreover, the Father judges no
  one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,
• BelieverHebrews 413 Nothing in all creation is
  hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered
  and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we
  must give account.

Jesus Knows all

• A Spiritual CAT Scan / MRI is given.
• 1 Cor. 45 Therefore judge nothing before the
  appointed time wait till the Lord comes. He will
  bring to light what is hidden in darkness and
  will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that
  time each will receive his praise from God.

• 3. Reveals our ETERNAL Rewards or Losses.
• 12If any man builds on this foundation using

Two Choices in how we build

• Gold/Silver/Precious Stones Gain Reward. 14If
  what he has built survives, he will receive his
  reward.
• Wood/Hay/Stubble Suffer Loss
  15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss he
  himself will be saved, but only as one escaping
  through the flames.

Four areas to be careful

• My attitude Philip. 25 Your attitude should be
  the same as that of Christ Jesus
• My motives Proverbs 162 All a man's ways seem
  innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the
  Lord.
• My service Col. 323-24 Whatever you do, work
  at it with all your heart, as working for the
  Lord, not for men, 24since you know that you will
  receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
  It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
• My love 1 John 416-17 And so we know and rely
  on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever
  lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17In
  this way, love is made complete among us so that
  we will have confidence on the day of judgment,
  because in this world we are like him.

• 4. Start preparing TODAY for your Final Exam!
• Hebrews 312-14 See to it, brothers, that none of
  you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns
  away from the living God. 13But encourage one
  another daily, as long as it is called Today, so
  that none of you may be hardened by sin's
  deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ
  if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we
  had at first.

Three Essential Keys

• Be sure you are saved from sin! Jn 33 In
  reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no
  one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born
  again."
• Be continually evaluating yourself! 1Cor 1131
  But if we judged ourselves, we would not come
  under judgment.
• Be faithfully serving in obedience! Mt. 2523
  "His master replied, 'Well done, good and
  faithful servant! You have been faithful with a
  few things I will put you in charge of many
  things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
