The benefit of analysis

• Analysis showed over 50 go into res. Care due to
  Carer exhaustion
• Of these, half were previously unknown to social
  services
• Principal underlying cause was progressive
  dementia
• (Other causes were regular enuresis, falls,
  distraction burglary)

Therefore a principal focus is to find support
informal carers

• Bigger pension avoids future support

• Fewer bed days due to rapid response
• Council, as original provider, sees little of
  this!
