  • Assisting vulnerable people to stay independent,
    in control, with dignity and purpose by helping
    manage the risks of daily living
  • DH funding to examine statistically the benefits
    from the use of telecare telehealth

The benefit of analysis
  • Analysis showed over 50 go into res. Care due to
    Carer exhaustion
  • Of these, half were previously unknown to social
    services
  • Principal underlying cause was progressive
    dementia
  • (Other causes were regular enuresis, falls,
    distraction burglary)

Therefore a principal focus is to find support
informal carers
