  • What are Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships
    (EIF) ?
  • Individual fellowships that aim at providing
    advances training tailored to the researchers
    individual needs in order to become independent.
    Duration between 1 and 2 years.
  • Who can apply ?
  • Researcher from EU or associated States at least
    4 years researcher experience or PhD and wrilling
    to spend a mobility period working in a host
    institution located in another EU or Associated
    state, different from his/her own and from that
    where they have been recently active. The
    researcher applies in liaison with the host
    institution. Eligible host institutions active in
    research or research training (University,
    research organisation, international
    organisation, enterprises...)
  • Which research topics are supported ?
  • Proposal from all areas of scientific and
    technological research of interest to the
    European Community
  • How does it work?
  • The researcher applies to the commision jointly
    with the host institution. If the roposal is
    selected, the commission signs a contract with
    the host. The researcher sign a contract with the

Evaluation Criteria
  • Objectives and impact (award)
  • Are the objectives of the proposed project
    consistent with the requirements specified in the
    work program and/or call for proposals? Will the
    project have a substantial impact in the context
    of the ERC strategic objectives?
  • 2. Quality and effectiveness (award)
  • Is the proposed methodology and work plan
    effective in reaching the goals of the project?
    Does it ensure the highest quality and/or utility
    of results? Does it, where appropriate,
    correspond to, or go beyond, best current
    practice?
  • 3. Resources (selection)
  • Are the resources (personnel, equipment, other)
    appropriate for the goals of the project? Will
    they be used effectively? Are they properly
    justified?

What does the fellowship cover ?
  • Expenses for activities carried out by the
    researchers
  • A monthly living allowance salary from which
    you should remove social security and direct
    taxes
  • A travel allowance 1 return ticket fly a
    yearly trip to home
  • A monthly allowance to cover the expenses to
    cover the mobility (500 /month for a single
    research, 800 /month for research with family
    charges)
  • A career exploratory allowance one single
    payment (2000 ) to help to develop research
    career
  • A contribution to the participation expenses of
    eligible researches participation of
    researchers research and training activities
    (research related costs, meeting, conference,
    training...) (500-750 based research projects).
  • Expenses for the activities of the host
    organisation for benefit of the researcher
  • Management costs 3 of the community
    contribution that will be paid towards the
    management of the project.
  • Contribution to overheads flate rate payment
    of 10 of the direct costs. The maximum amount
    of the grant will be fixed in the contract after
    negotiation
