4OUR SERVICES
- ECCN/USML Classifications
- Export control restrictions applicable to
the products and technology are directly related
to their technical features, functionality and
end-use application. As such, a fundamental step
in determination of controls is to assign an
export control classification number (ECCN) to
the product and technology, commonly known as
export classification process. - Export Licensing Assistance
- Determination of the export license need is
the crucial step before an export transaction and
before exposure of a non-US person to a sensitive
technology. - Compliance Assessment Audit
- Initial compliance assessment is the best
method to determine the level of export
compliance achieved at the company. Depending on
the need, our experts conduct a scalable
assessment which evaluates the export control
mechanisms in the entire company, in a certain
division or facility, or in the company's
subsidiary located abroad.
5Compliance Program Development
Having a strong Internal Control Program ("ICP")
for export compliance is the initial step to
ensure that exports and export decisions are
consistent with the regulations.
Compliance program governs the actions of senior
management, logistics departments, international
sales marketing teams, RD units, Engineering,
Human Resources and other departments regarding
export of commodities, international transfer of
software and technical data as well as hiring and
hosting the non-U.S. nationals. Essential
elements of the program provide checks and
safeguards at key steps to better manage the
overall export process.
Transactional Guidance
Coping with extremely complex regulations and
knowing where and how to start export control
analysis of the transaction are daunting tasks.
Intredex has the domain of expertise and
understanding of exporter's critical global trade
operations. We believe the fact that one solution
does not fit all. We also understand that each
transaction must be handled appropriately and
timely. Whether it is a sensitive technology
transfer to a restricted country or a shipment of
an uncontrolled product to another country under
a free trade agreement, we closely work with the
exporter to analyze the actual need, and create a
unique, customized and optimized compliance
solution.
6Deemed Export Solutions
Research Development ("RD") activities
performed abroad by the U.S. basedcompanies,
university collaborations, employing non-U.S.
nationals for the technical positions, exchanging
scientists and technical publications contribute
to the economic development in many ways.
However, the U.S. Government views the technology
and software source code as exported whenever
they are released to a non-U.S. national
visually, verbally or via any other method
whether in the U.S. or abroad, namely deemed
export and deemed re-export. Similarly, an export
occurs when employees, having obtained personal
knowledge or technical experience regarding
controlled technology and software source code in
the United States, apply that knowledge or
experience abroad.
7ITAR Compliance
Full compliance with the U.S. ITAR regulations
and determination of the license need are the
crucial steps before an export of a defense
article and before providing a defense service to
non-U.S. persons. Even if there is no exportation
planned, in almost all military end-use projects
there will be a need to ensure safeguarding of
the technical data against the access of
unauthorized persons.
Technical Data Export
In today's world, global collaborative design,
development, production and outsourcing
activities take place more frequent than they
ever did before. Often these activities require
the transfer of certain technologies and software
to foreign entities. Transfer can take the form
of sharing skills, knowledge, methods of
manufacturing, samples of manufacturing and
facilities with customers, subsidiaries,
subcontractors, consultants, universities and
partners located abroad.
