About Steven Lawrence
Steven Lawrence, PH.D. has dedicated his life to
student achievement. As a former superintendent
of Mt. Diablo Unified School District, he met
district-wide California student growth targets
and significantly raised student performance in
the lowest performing elementary schools. His
passion for a student centered learning
environment is contagious as putting the needs of
students at the focus of all we do is his driving
philosophy of education.

Community Involvement

• Superintendent Steven Lawrence gave of himself
  as part of C.A.R.E. Haiti and Providence Haitian
  Project (July, 1986 June, 1987) Director,
  Orphanage of the Immaculate Conception,
  Port-Au-Prince, Haiti (July 1985 June,
  1986)Co-directed an orphanage with twenty-five
  boys ranging in ages of 5-18 years old.
  Spearheaded opening a neighborhood school when
  all schools were closed because of political
  upheaval.
