The Ecuadorian petrochemical Institute (IPE) is
an organization whose main objective is the
development of the petrochemical industry in the
country, seeking to contribute to the change of
the productive matrix and Ecuador economic
transformation. The Institute was created by the
Ministry of not renewable natural resources by
agreement Ministerial No. MRNNR-DM-2014-0548-AM
on February 03, 2014.

The College of the Mainland is the center of
development of technology processes program that
is reviewed each month and then the new
technologies are approved and the instruction
books are updated annually. In August of 2014
the CAPT program rights were transferred to NAPTA

The SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE of Houston Texas
jointly with the College of the Mainland from
Texas City (COM), and the Ecuadorian
Petrochemical Institute (IPE) are developing
training programmes for the different activities
of the oil industry especially the ones are
relates to the processes technology program(PTEC
), operation of refineries and petrochemical
plants.

  The ST Institute, The COM and the IPE
developed the project to form a strategic
alliance to create the training center in process
technology. PTEC for Latin America IEP
proposed EP PETROECUADOR an agreement for
professional practices to be carried out in the
system EP PETROECUADOR and in particular at the
La Libertad Refinery.
