Dr. Susan Cardenas - Associate Professor at New
Mexico State University
Dr. Susan Cardenas presently works at New Mexico
State as a College Associate Professor in the
Department of Public Health Sciences. She enjoys
helping students learn and move forward
academically and has been teaching since 1996.
Dr. Cardenas is also involved with the
departments Success with Adolescent Goals
Program, where she holds the position of Program
Manager.

Dr. Susan Cardenas has held the associate
professor position at New Mexico State University
since 1996. Over the years she has won many
awards for her outstanding performance and was
the recipient of the NMSU Donald C. Roush Award
for Teaching Excellence. Dr. Cardenas also won
the Distinguished Alumni Award for the College of
Health and Social ServicesDepartment of Public
Health Sciences.

Dr. Susan Cardenas has been an associate
professor at New Mexico State University since
1996. She brings years of experience and
dedication to the teaching field. She has
inspired many students throughout the years. Dr.
Cardenas teaches health education curriculum both
online and for on campus courses to undergraduate
and graduate level programs. She is also
responsible for developing the schools health
education programs.

Since 1996, Dr. Susan Cardenas works within the
Department of Public Health Sciences at New
Mexico State University as an associate
professor. She oversees the grant writing and
teaching of programs in areas such as womens
health, sexuality education for children and
young adults, childrens health and maternity.
Dr. Cardenas also donates her time to work with
the community through outreach programs in
research and health education.
