- 1) First off, can you tell us a bit about
yourself? - My name is Razvan Coca. Im from Bucharest,
Romania. I am a Linux C developer with a
physics degree. I usually do networking and
protocols-related jobs as a freelancer. I also do
algorithm-related jobs and code for physics
simulations. - Ive been freelancing for 6 months.

- 3) What was your inspiration and when did you
actually decide to become a freelancer? - The startup I was working for the last year went
out of business. At the same time I had some
ideas that I wanted to see working. Freelancing
provided a flexible balance between implementing
my ideas and work for a living.

- 4) What kind of services have your clients asked
you to provide? - My clients asked for Linux/Windows C/C code.
Topics were medical applications and protocols,
kernel-level network configuration in Linux,
physics code, data mining/classifiers, storage.

provide skills that you dont possess? - I didnt ask other freelancers to work for me
yet. I might do so, when Ill have a product that
is popular enough to need many features added
quickly to it.

are interested in your services? - I only used freelancing websites so far and Ive
been contacted for help every now and then.

full of jobs posted by serious clients. Not all
of them are remote-work positions but jobs

competitors? What makes you special? - I have a long work experience in telecom
industry, a strong academic background, a keen
interest in solving problems in a proper way and
a bit of imagination. I still like math and it
looks that I learn more of it every day.

magazines you read to stay up to date in the
IT-market? - I enjoy reading DrDobbs Journal, checking
isocpp.org site regularly, watching cppcon
presentations or boostcon presentations. I try to
learn from the best.

to tell our readers? - I find a couple of hours of daily walking (with
