  Ready and HDX Ready Premium labels verify the
  additional functions of the Citrix High
  Definition User Experience (HDX). These include
  support for voice over IP, video conferences and
  CAD applications. HDX Ready SoC certification
  indicates a reference design which follows the
  Citrix System on Chip Initiative.

clients, zero clients and SoC clients from IGEL

The hardware platform of what is now the IGEL IZ1
HDX zero client which was unveiled in 2012 one
year before the start of the System on Chip
Initiative offers a level of multimedia
performance which is unique among entry-level
devices. A digital signal processor (DSP) from
Texas Instruments (TI) is responsible for
accelerating the HDX functions. The development
work which led to IGEL's SoC client is remarkable
in that the IGEL Linux operating system was
specially ported to an ARM platform.
