Forward Day LLC creates innovative home
healthcare products that enable seniors and
others with disabilities to overcome physical
limitations and reclaim independence in their
daily activities. A true family business,
Forward Day LLC was founded by a brother and
sister team in Santa Cruz, California. While
working in the home health care industry,
Forward Days founders observed that the main
reason families were seeking additional help
taking care of their loved ones at home was a
result of bathing complications. Bathing can be
extremely dangerous for the user and the acting
caregiver, not to mention the apprehension and
stress that comes with it. There was a gap in a
marketplace that provided few solutions for home
bathing. At one extreme, families were
overwhelmed with the costly and intrusive option
of remodeling a downstairs bathroom to allow
wheelchair access. At the other extreme,
families struggled with the reality that a bed
bath appeared to be the only affordable option
for bathing their loved ones. Forward Days
founders believed that there should be some way
to provide an alternative to normal bathing
methods, one that would be safe, enjoyable, easy
to use, and affordable. Shower Bay was born! The
product offers a real solution to home bathing
