Are You Easily Dehydrated? Maybe I Can Help
  • Donating blood is completely safe. Every donor
donates with a sterile needle that is used only
once and then immediately thrown away. What's
more, you have more than enough blood to give.
Most adults have around 10 pints of blood in
their body, and a typical donation is only around
one pint of blood. When you think about the fact
that a victim in a car accident could need as
many as 100 pints of blood to save their lives,
you realize how important your donation could be.
Donating blood really does save lives. According
to the American Red Cross, one blood donation
could be used to help up to three people in need
at hospitals in your area. Every type of blood is
needed, and your donation makes you part of a
special group of volunteers who want to help
people in need. Consider a blood donation today.

  • You should be at least 17 years old and weigh
over 110 pounds. In some states, you only need to
be 16 with parental consent, so call your local
blood bank or hospital to check. You'll need to
be healthy, with no history of AIDS, hepatitis,
heart disease, syphilis, or certain types of
cancer. Blood banks will test for all of these,
along with other infectious diseases, before they
release the blood to hospitals. The donation
itself typically takes about 10 minutes, while
the whole process can take 30 minutes to an hour
depending on how busy the donation center is.
Plan to fill out a health questionnaire and then
have a mini-physical where medical staff will
check your temperature, pulse, blood pressure,
and hemoglobin level to make sure it's safe for
you to donate blood. It's recommended that you
eat something before donating, and most centers
will provide snacks and refreshments after your
    donation.

  • This is a win for your company as they'll be more
productive. I know that lots of workers look
forward to a treat and that gets them excited.
And as a manager you want your employees to be
excited and engaged at work! So you don't need to
completely rule out the treats, but you should
incorporate mainly healthy meal options. Did you
know that in the U.S., someone needs blood every
two seconds? According to the American Red Cross,
over 41,000 blood donations are needed every day
for hospitals nationwide to care for patients.
And while over 9.2 million people per year
generously donate blood, this is one area when
you can never have too much of a good thing.

  • What some of these can do to you is give you an
initial energy spike, but then within a short
time frame you hit an energy low. So then you're
brain function decreases and your ability to
think is hampered due to your tiredness. So as a
manager, giving your employees lifeless, energy
Yeast Infection No More Review sucking foods
isn't going to help propel your department or
company. Most people spend a lot of time at work
    - some people up to 16 hours a day, or even more.
So having a healthy lifestyle includes the work
life too. It really is easy to provide staff with
healthy snacks for work, healthy lunches, healthy
dinners or whatever it may be. At the end of the
day if you get your staff to eat healthy and
provide them with healthy options their cognitive
function as well as energy levels will improve.
