and Dr. Taylor learned as much as he contributed
to the group.

Dr. Thomas Taylor has held many prestigious
positions over the course of his career in
medicine. Thanks to his dedication, work ethic,
and intelligence, he was invited by Dr. Michael
Debakey to come to Houston as a Professor of
Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. After
eight years he became the Chief of Academic
Surgery at the college, as well as the Chief of
Postgraduate Medical Education.

Dr. Thomas Taylor was not just a skilled and
experienced surgeon, but a good instructor as
well. He has spent a considerable amount of his
career in medicine teaching others. He spent time
as an anatomy instructor in Manchester, and over

surgical residents, as well as many research
assistants and fellows.
