The reason that many people do want bats hanging
around their home and desire to get rid of them
is because they can carry rabies along with a few
other diseases. If a bat bites you they can
sometimes pass rabies and the other diseases to
you but it is not common to hear about bat
attacks. If you breathe in their waste called
guano it can cause histoplasmosis, which is a
lung infection.

they will just eventually go out the open window.
You should not try to catch the bat but instead
you should call animal control services to remove
the bat. If you decide that you would like to
keep the bat around for insect control you can
