1. URL Optimization
- Proper URL structure (URL strings) is a must -
Include target keywords into the URL - Separate
keywords with a dash - - Implement 301
redirections for all 404 error pages - Use
Canonical URLs to avoid duplicate content issues

2. Title Tags
- Every page must have a unique title tag -
Include the top targeted keyword at the
beginning - Use Maximum of 70 Characters
including spaces - Make it highly relevant to
page content - Include Company Name at the end
for key pages - Make it read natural. Do not
stuff keywords

3. Meta Descriptions
- Make it as attractive as possible for better
CTR - Keep the length in-between 140 to 160
Characters - Include keywords in the first half
of the description - Using Rich snippets is a
good practice - Do not duplicate descriptions
among pages - Use Call to action and descriptive
words

4. Header Tags
- The focus keyword must be included in the H1
tag - H2 and H3 tags may also be used with
secondary keywords - Only One H1 tag per page,
multiple H2 and H3 tags can be used - Header
tags can be in-between 30 to 60 characters -
Make it highly relevant to the page content -
Place them in order H1, H2 and then H3

5. Keyword Density
- Ideal range for top targeted keywords is 2-4
density - Hyperlink keywords to other relevant
pages - Keywords must be spread out throughout
the page - Use as may synonyms of the target
keywords possible - Consider Minimum of 400 words
of content to go on a page - Use long tail
keywords as well in the page content
