5 reason why ants rule the world

ADAPTED WELL
Ants rule because they have adapted well in many
different ways they could. Their appearances and
where they live are different from one ant to
another. They can be as tiny as millimeter long
or as big as 1.5 inches long. Oligomyrmex atomus
and Dinoponera are two type of ants found with
contrasting physical appearances. They can be
found in everywhere dessert, rainforests, swamps,
anywhere other than coldest and highest place on
the earth.
3
WIDE RANGE OF BEHAVIOUR
Different ants have different behavior. Many ants
feed from carbohydrate-rich flowering plants.
Carpenter ants like to guard against other
insects to protect their food supply by building
a shelter around the base of the plants. In hot,
dry habitats ants have come up with the idea of
storing foods in order to survive long drought.
Honeypot ants use their body to store food. Some
ants fight in order to get nourishment. Army
ants with thick antennae on their head fight
with other ants. Slave raiding ants steal babies
from their neighbors.
4
FEMALES DO THE WORKS
Ants family employ ants who develop special tools
and skills to get the job done. The ants who
work inside nests are generally younger than
those who protect the nest from outside
elements. Female ants do all the work while male
ants just spread their genes around.
5
USE OF CHEMICALS
Unlike other insects like bees, wasps most ants
do not have wings. That's why ants have evolved
and now has an arsenal of chemicals to
communicate on the ground. They use chemical
cues calls for alarm, dates and food locations.
6
KEY IS COMMUNICATION
  • Ants emit pheromones from a gland in their mouth
as an alarm if something disturbs them. Humans
too can sense these pheromones. Ants lead the way
with emitted chemicals. Fellow workers follow
the path. The success of ants lies in their
social behavior. They have found a way to use
their social behavior to find a way to bring in
    resources i.e food.
