About Us
Joy Bungalow was the first resort built on Koh
Jum back in 1990, long a backpacker favorite and
the best-known resort on the Island. Joy
Bungalow is of Thailands true travelers meeting
points. All kinds of people, from all corners of
the globe have made Koh Jum, and in particular
Joy Bungalow, their escape from the rest of the
world. This small, unpoint tropical hide-away has
a unique ambience which lends itself to quiet
contemplation and genuine feeling of inner peace.
The lack of electricity on the Island enhances
this feeling with oil lamps and candles used for
light. At JOY, we go out of our way not to make
our resort a business. Our commitment is to give

Joy Bungalow is one of the most striking features
in Koh Jum, Thailand. The islands attraction lies
in its natural beauty of sand, sun, beaches. If
you want to go back to nature resort, book Joy
Bungalow for your best experience.
A 30 units bungalow resort set in tropical jungle
on a longest stretch of white sand beach on Jum
Island. There is no electricity on the island. We
generate own electricity for limited use in our
restaurant from 6.00 - 10.00 pm. Guest will be
provided with a lantern when they check in. The
beach is full of crabs and jungle full of birds.
Come see the sun set behind Phi Phi Island. The
best time of day when white sand turns into gold.
You'll find out why foreigners call us "Haven on
Earth"!

Foods
Regular priced (Fried rice at Baht 50 per
serving, Medium Size Magaritta Home made Pizza at
Baht 130 per serving). We have suggested menus
which include Thai and European dishes. Made to
order can be provided especially if order in
advance. Anything from Phuket Lobster to Local
crabs, fishes, shells and squids.
