do the following

• Open the AOL Desktop Gold and access your account
  by entering the registered email ID and the
  password or go for AOL email sign up
• Visit the Settings section
• Open the General tab and hit Make Default buttons
  to set AOL Desktop Gold your email client or
  default browser
• You will now see a new window
• Here, visit the Web browser or Email section from
  Default Apps tab
