2Introduction UGC NET 2018
- NTA will be the exam conducting body from the
next session of UGC NET 2018.
- NTA decided that the NET exam will be conducted
twice a year in the month of July and December.
- The award of JRF and Assistant Professor both OR
Eligibility for Assistant Professor only depends
on the performance of the candidate in both the
papers of NET in aggregate.
3Eligibility - Criteria
Candidates who want to apply for the NET exam,
have to fulfill the all requirements of the exam.
- Candidates have to secure minimum 55 aggregate
marks in post graduation or equivalent degree.
- The OBC belonging to non-creamy layer/SC/ST/PwD
get the relaxation of 5 in the aggregate marks
in post graduation or equivalent degree.
4Eligibility - Criteria
- Candidates who are appeared for their qualifying
year of Masters or equivalent degree and whose
result is still awaited can also apply for the
UGC NET exam.
- The Ph.D. degree holders whose Masters level
examination had been completed by 19th September
1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5 in
aggregate marks.
- The maximum age limit for JRF aspirants is 30
years.
5Eligibility - Criteria
- The OBC belonging to non-creamy
layer/SC/ST/PwD/Female aspirants get the 5 years
age relaxation.
- 3 Years Relaxation in Age will be provided to the
candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree.
- The candidates having research on any subject
will also get the relaxation of 5 years only if
it is certified by the appropriate university.
6Exam - Pattern
To get a good score in the exam you need to get
complete knowledge about the exam pattern.
- As per the latest pattern CBSE UGC NET exam is
conducted in two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- Paper 1 It is a common General Aptitude Test
which consists questions based on Reasoning
Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability,
and General Awareness etc.
7Exam - Pattern
- Paper 2 It consists 100 MCQs type questions
based on subjects each of 2 marks.
