5There are excellent opportunities for fishing in
Seychelles all year round. The best time for
kingfish is from January to March, from August to
December the sailfish is well fished, and
November-December is the best time for karang
fishing. Tuna, dorado and bonito are caught all
year long. Diving in Seychelles is excellent.
The variety of fish is stunning, as is the
underwater scenery with tower-shaped granite
boulders and caves. Sometimes you can see whale
sharks here. For beginners, a full diving course
is offered. All the necessary equipment for
diving is available at local diving centres.
6Praslin La Digue
7The boat will take you to Praslin, where you will
visit the Vallee De Mai, a nature reserve under
the control of UNESCO. In this striking
primeval palm forest, about 7,000 Coco de Mer
trees grow and rare Seychelles Black Parrots
live. After a short boat trip on the ferry you
will reach La Digue island with its amazing
coasts and huge granite stones. You will be
taken to a pile factory in the colonial estate of
Union and will see the old plantations of vanilla
and cinnamon.
8St. Anne Marine National Park
9During this boat trip, you will discover the
underwater world of tropical coral reefs in one
of the Seychelles National Marine Parks. You
will see all the variety of marine life,
including clusters of coral fish, enjoy a
delicious Creole lunch, barbecue, spend the
afternoon, swimming or sunbathing in the sun. If
you wish, you can use the equipment for swimming
with a mask.
10Cousin, Curieuse St. Pierre
11 First, you will go to Cousin Island to see the
abode of seabirds and rare birds living in
Seychelles it is estimated that up to a quarter
of a million seabirds nest here annually. Then
you will sail on a boat to the island of
Curieuse, where you can visit the old House of
the Doctor, turned into a museum, as well as a
pen for the giant land turtles living nearby.
Enjoying the beauty of the mangrove forest and
savouring the food offered at the coastal picnic,
you can swim to the picturesque island of St.
Pierre and swim there with a mask, or just relax.

named for the million black terns that nest here

sandy coast, and in the coral reefs rich marine
life thrives. It is on this island that
Esmeralda lives, the largest giant tortoise in
Seychelles, included in the Guinness Book of
