They help the heart to beat when the normal
functioning is disrupted. A pacemaker is a small
device that is placed in the abdomen or the chest
which helps the heart to beat and control
abnormal rhythms of the heart. One can get the

A pacemaker is used to treat a condition called
the arrhythmias where there is a problem with the
rate and the rhythm of the heart and the device
uses the electrical pulses to aid the normal
beating of the heart and returning to
normalcy.Advancement and new technologies help
the pacemakers to become better and modern. In
the last several years, pacemakers have witnessed
some ground-breaking advancements and
technologies that have improved the pacemakers
that were being used since the last generation.

pacemakers that allow the patients to undergo
MR-imaging examinations without the fear of
obstructions and damage to the pacemakers. Before

pacemakers could not undergo an MRI
examination.

Pacemaker Monitoring Another important
development in the field of pacemakers, many

connectivity that allows external monitoring of
