1
An Overview of Different Types of Windows for
Offices
2
Introduction
  • There are different types of windows for an
office that are available in the market in terms
of design and shape. When you are buying windows
for your office, you should know that the best
windows insulate against dust, noise, rain,
    pollution, and rising energy costs.

3
Sliding Windows
  • A good choice for offices, sliding windows are
easy and convenient to use. Great for offering
panoramic views, these windows bring certain
finesse to the building and optimize air
circulation and space usage as they do not open
    inwards.

4
Casement Windows
  • Hugely energy efficient when closed, casement
windows provide a picturesque view of outside.
Popularly used in modern offices, these windows
have a sash that is hinged from the side on an
outer frame and can open outwards or inwards, to
    the right or left.

5
Tilt and Turn Windows
  • Versatile in design, these windows have a
suitable mix of design and functionality.
Innovative and aesthetically pleasing in looks,
they have a sash that can tilt open at an angle
from the top with hinges at the bottom or swing
    inwards with the side hinges.

6
Combination Windows
  • Innovative in looks, these windows combine
features of different windows, such as sliding,
casement and fixed windows. Built in an
integrated frame, they reflect an architectural
feature in the home or office and serve the
objective of sound and thermal insulation and
    design flexibility.

7
Bay Windows
  • Bay windows project outwards from an outside wall
of a building and form a bay in a room. The
advantage of a bay window is that it increases
the surface area of a wall and thus improves the
amount of natural light that enters the room. It
adds a bit more space to the interior and makes a
    room look larger.
