Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday denied touching
himself inappropriately in the upcoming "Borat"
movie, insisting that a reported clip from the
film was taken out of context. "The Borat video
is a complete fabrication," Giuliani wrote on
Twitter. "I was tucking in my shirt after taking
off the recording equipment. At no time before,
during, or after the interview was I ever
inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies
otherwise he is a stone-cold liar."

Long-Term Care Only For The Wealthy
About one-quarter of all US coronavirus deaths
have been nursing home residents. Baby boomers,
that enormous post-war cohort, is beginning what
will be a stampede into retirement (or death on
the job for those with no savings). Over the next
40 years, the number of people over 65 is
expected to roughly double. About half of these
folks are expected to need long-term care (a home
health aide, etc.). But... only 1 of 30 Americans
have long-term care insurance.

The Large And Rising Economic Cost Of Trump's
Incompetence
Earlier this month, the second largest movie
theater chain in the US, Regal Cinemas, announced
it was closing all of its theaters after having
reopened in August. Smaller theater companies
will begin to go broke and close week by week as
the pandemic continues to spread freely around
the US "If the status quo continues, 69 of
small and midsize movie theater companies will be
forced to file for bankruptcy or to close
permanently," the National Association of Theatre
Owners said.

matter which approach we took, testing would be
critical. A national project to massively expand
testing while increasing speed, lowering costs
and employing thousands of people, was something
any president would have done as a matter of
course. Why? Because it's obvious. It was
obvious in March, it was obvious in June, and
it's obvious today. This was the governing
equivalent of being able to tie your shoes. What
is the argument for reelecting someone who who
can nothing but snarl, tweet, and gorge?
